Definition

  • Definition: A Heterogenous Group of Benign Non-Proliferative Lesions
  • The Most Common Benign Breast Entity
  • Associated with Increased Estrogen, Progesterone & Prolactin
  • Rarely Seen Post-Menopause

Presentation

  • Bilateral
  • Cyclic Breast Pain
  • Tender Nodular Breast Tissue – May Vary with Cycle
  • Most Common in the Upper Outer Quadrant
  • May Have Yellow or Green Nipple Discharge

Diagnosis

Treatment

  • No Treatment Required if No Suspicious Lesions are identified
